The best class. These are my new kids at the Putrajaya's Precinct 16 Children's Art Workshop.
From 5 to 8 years old. Its my second year here. I am with them every weekend morning for a two hour session. I truly loves working arts with these age group. Their art are amazingly expressive and beautiful. And oooh... they themselves are so sweet and charming. I know that they totally enjoy the session as much as I enjoyed it. Thank God for letting me to have the ability to still cherish life through these young and innocent heart.

My second semesters with these kids, quite a talented group. I do figure drawing for animation with them. This is one of our outdoor drawing session at Putrajaya somewhere last March. A few upcoming good animators in the making.

More Future Animators

Globe Trekker

Beautiful huh ?
Sunset at Riley, overlooking the Andaman sea, make me want to fly there right away.
You can reach there by taking a direct low cost flight from Kuala Lumpur to Krabi, Thailand.
From Krabi , go to Aonang and take a boat to Tonsai Beach, Pranang Beach and Railey.
Trust me, you won't regret it.
Will post more awesome photos of my trip there.

Still in Railey,

Railey Beach, Thailand

Railey Beach, Thailand

Phallic offerings to the princess of the rock, Railey Beach, Thailand.

Stumble upon this sand sculpture at Riley Beach. A very beautiful stretch of sandy beach surrounded by amazing limestone formation, during my visit to South of Thailand in December 2007.
Sculptor- unknown, because nobody is around.

Nostalgia Colony

Taking a break
One of our past time at the colony: playing cards. The regulars as you can see in the painting by Sam, are Harris, Mus, Man Banting and yours truly at far right. Regular onlookers are Ajis and Din Belanda. This painting are done impressionistic style in 2005, The giant tapioca tree that create the shade and the fountain behind are gone, replaced by a huge cemented parking lot, which reduced the serenity of the colony. What a waste.

The Storm of Malaysian Art

Harris Ribut.
My brother at the Colony. A kind and gentle artist. Harris or 'Ayes' is well known for his Fat ladies series. Ayes pick up painting quite late after going through many phases in life. This ex reporter manage to start with a boom when his works are sought by collectors both local and abroad, compared to some painters who began much more earlier. His fat ladies, mostly in oils have a certain appeal, where it bring out the beauty and gracefulness in the large and massive human form.
I miss having our usual tea after work, since I left the colony.
To view his works and meeting the artist, give him a visit at the Artist Colony, K.L Malaysia.
To Ayes,... He ain't heavy......, He's my brother.....
